Lab49 Update: July - December 2009

Here are some of our news highlights from the past six months:

1. Lab49 Brings Microsoft Silverlight 3 and Expression 3 To Leading Financial Services Firms and Participated in Product Launch

Lab49 announced its participation in the launch of Microsoft Silverlight 3 and Microsoft Expression 3. Lab49’s adoption of cutting-edge Rich Internet Application (RIA) technologies such as these makes it possible for global financial service firms, specifically in the electronic trading domain, to create rich desktop-like experiences for clients through a browser. With traders becoming more sophisticated and demanding, visually appealing solutions are needed, combining the interactivity of a desktop application with simplicity and scalability of internet delivery. 2. Lab49 joined a panel of industry experts to discuss innovations in rich internet applications (RIA)

Lab49 moderated a live video webcast with Finextra on July 27th. Lab49 and the panel of experts discussed how sell-side firms are now offering enhanced trading tools through innovations in communication, interface design and data. Panelists included Hishaam Mufti-Bey, Matrix founder and global director at Morgan Stanley; Stephane Malrait, MD, Head of eCommerce Europe & Asia at Societe Generale; Vivake Gupta, Managing Director, Lab49; Mark Greenaway, Director, Adobe; and Jake Markham, Client Technology Solutions, Credit Suisse. 3. Lab49 Debuted Largest RIA in Financial Services History at Adobe MAX 2009

Lab49 presented the largest and most ambitious RIA in Financial Services to date in October at Adobe MAX 2009, the annual global Adobe conference. Lab49’s Managing Consultant Børre Wessel and former colleague Tom Sugden from Adobe Professional Services discussed the development of Morgan Stanley’s new trading platform, Morgan Stanley Matrix, featuring data visualization, real-time streaming, rich-media publishing, collaboration and workflow components. 4. Waters USA 2009

Lab49’s Luke Flemmer moderated a panel entitled “Digesting your Data: Ensuring your Data Management and Strategies Meet your E-Commerce Needs” at Waters USA 2009 on December 7th.
